Yueqing (Katie) Li is a Los Angeles–based composer for film, television, games, animation, and interactive media. Drawing from both Eastern and Western musical traditions, she blends cinematic orchestral writing with Chinese folk influences, lyrical romanticism, and contemporary hybrid textures to create emotionally driven scores that deepen storytelling and bring visual worlds to life.
Her work includes collaborations with filmmakers and commercial clients such as Xinhua News Agency, Roborock, and Shanghai Animation Film Studio. She composed the score for Wan Geng Zhi Cheng, a promotional film for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games produced by Xinhua News Agency, which reached nearly one million views across Chinese media platforms.
Originally from Guangzhou, China, Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in Composition and Music Production from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music and her master’s degree in Composition for Screen from Columbia College Chicago.
Passionate about cross-cultural storytelling, Katie enjoys collaborating with filmmakers, game developers, and creative teams from around the world. She is dedicated to creating distinctive musical identities that resonate emotionally with audiences and elevate the stories they accompany.
